On a Sunday afternoon with the Mount Mary festival creating all its traffic snarls, the odds would have been for an average turnout for Tata Crucible. Defying all of these were a staggering 297 teams that converged at Taj Lands End for what turned out to be an amazing afternoon of high caliber quizzing. A wonderful prelim that had all teams engrossed led to the following finalists.

- Deloitte : Siddharth Banerjee and Ankush Chakraborthy
The Tata Track of the quiz witnessed one of the closest battles so far with all the teams battling on an even footing. It went down to the final couple of rounds when team TCS (Pravin and Priyambad) got the better of fighting Tata Power duo (Mahesh and Vishwas).
The non Tata final started on an even note but once the initial round was over, a very well prepared Deloitte thundered its way round after round with some breath taking answers. Their dominance was so strong that it did not even give six time finalists and former national champions Deutsche Bank too much room to fight back. Glimpses of brilliance were on display from the other teams but it was really a Deloitte show all the way with Deutsche as runner up.
The guest of honour Mr.A.N Singh congratulated the finalists on a wonderful quiz and gave away the prizes.
