On Easter Sunday the Taj Lands End at Mumbai was bustling with activity as people were pouring in for the famous Easter Brunch. The youngsters thronging the Taj for Crucible were all fascinated by the brunch as much as they were excited about the quiz. The prelim led to the following six teams making it to the final.
- IIT Bombay: Abhishek and Nikhil Malikarjun
- JBIMS: Ajay Pai and Sriram Krishnan
- NITIE: Prashanth and Ankur Prasad
- SJMSOM: Ms.Debashree and Ms.Sindhuja
- KJ Somaiya: Shaswat Shetty and Satender Kumar
- NMIMS: Mithil Mehta and Sarath
The first few rounds of the quiz saw honours that were equally shared by IIT-B, JBIMS and NITIE with JBIMS just a little ahead of the rest. As the quiz moved into the next couple of rounds, the IIT duo moved ahead of the others with quality answers.
As the quiz moved into the final frontier the duo from NITIE could not find the answers where they were required while the JBIMS team struck repeated blows to now get past IIT-B prompting the quizmaster to comment that the quiz was a sea saw battle.
In the end, IITB took a few unavoidable risks that did not pay off and JBIMS were through to the West Zone finals as champions.
