With 500 plus students from colleges across Punjab present in the auditorium the environment was electric. The quiz got underway with a brisk prelim and some quick briefing about the rules. The six that made it to the final were:

- Lovely University (LPU): Deepak Goyal and Piyush Sahu
- DAVIET: Arjun and Amol
- Aurobindo College of Commerce: Sameer and Kanav
- GNDU Amritsar: Swar Grover and Siddharth Mahajan
- Lovely University (LPU): Aganjeet Singh and Akhil M
The final was a fantastic battle, from the word go. The contest between NIT, LPU, and GNDU was neck-to-neck. With every passing question the tension mounted, as teams hesitated to deploy the power plays or chose a wait and watch approach.
The gutsy team in the fray seemed to be from GNDU, who despite being in the negative for a brief period, kept fighting and coming back with strong answers and brave power plays.
The LPU duo of Deepak and Piyush got ahead for a brief bit as did the NIT team but neither could sustain the lead for a long time. It was the gutsy GNDU which kept at it and finally clinched the title with a slender 2 run margin over LPU. The NIT team made a tactical error on the final question to not go for a power play else would have finished as a joint runner with LPU.
The guest of honour, Mr. H. R. Singly, the Director General of LPU gave away the prizes.
