Corporate Quiz Results - Tata Steel dominates Jamshedpur

An outpouring of teams and talent on a quite Sunday at the Steel city marked this edition of Tata Crucible here, that witnessed teams from Tata Steel dominate the event. A very balanced prelim resulted in the following teams making it to the final…

• Tata Steel: Siddharth Mishra and Amit Agrawal
• Tata Motors: Ms.Loveleen Mishra and Bismoy Ranjan Pati
• Tata Steel: Abhishek Padhye and Ms.Sneha Ranjan
• Tata Steel: Mohit Bhatt and Nirmal Tennetti
• Tata Steel: EG Khan and Sourav Das

Jusco started the final with a fantastic answer to set the ball rolling while the Tata Motors with a young team showed great resolve and picked good points early on. The Tata Steel teams started scoring soon and the quiz looked very even with all teams off the block in the first couple of rounds.

The buzzers saw Siddharth and Amit surge ahead with timely cracks that were matched for a while by Nirmal and Mohit but the consistency of the former was simply too good for the others. The defending champs EG Khan and Sourav could not find their touch this year as they battled through the final. Towards the end the Tata Motors duo did score well but it wasn’t enough for them to challenge either Mohit and Nirmal or Siddharth and Amit.

The quizmaster was appreciative of the high standards of quizzing in the city and also specifically praised the school kids who nearly swept away all the audience prizes. In his trademark witty manner he advised them to start coaching classes for the corporates to prepare better for Tata Crucible!
