Corporate Quiz Results - Navi Mumbai – Cap Gemini take Navi Mumbai
The Navi Mumbai edition of the quiz saw teams from the edges of Mumbai’s sprawling cityscape take part with keen interest and enthusiasm. Many of them were first time contestants but the introduction of Navi Mumbai as a venue certainly helping them be part of this mega event. After a quick prelim the finalists who made it were:
- Event Traveller : Navin Sharma and Avaneendra Bharghav
- Cap Gemini : Samrat Sengupta and Raulter Fernandes
- Idea Forge Technologies : Shubhankar Ghokale and Piyush Divyajit
- Cap Gemini : Rajashri Chanda and Mayank Shah
- IDBI Bank : Anurag Narayan and Ajay Jha
- Reliance Jio Infocomm : Abhishek Banerjee and Dwarkanath
The initial phase of the final saw Rajashri and Mayank dominate and get off to a quick start. Even as teams were finding their touch and beginning the progress the pace of the quiz built a tense environ that forced a few mistakes from even the leading duo all of it contributing to the excitement.
As the quiz progressed the young duo from Idea Forge surged ahead with some really good answers closing in on Cap Gemini and eventually crossing them. As the questions kept coming in from the seasoned quizmaster, the battle was evidently between these teams as others did well but in bursts unable to hold the momentum.
It all went down to final question and any of these two teams could have won. As the tension mounted Pickbrain fired the final salvo and the duo from Cap Gemini took the risk and cracked the question to move into the West Zone finale as Navi Mumbai Champions.
The guest of honour Mr.S.Padmanabhan, Executive Chairman, Tata Quality Management Services, appreciated the teams and spoke of the importance of being part of a new resurgent India whose foundations are based on knowledge and information.
