The 2021 corporate edition of Tata Crucible started its journey with the AP and Telangana cluster. The quiz was entirely digital for the second year running viewing the safety and comfort of the participants. Quizmaster Pickbrain was at his sharpest best as he pegged the quiz at a level that seemed almost like a national semi-final, perhaps setting the tone for what to expect from this season.

The Finalists Were

  • KapinjalTata Consultancy Services
  • VikhyathItty Bitty School
  • RajagopalanGoogle India
  • SrivastavaTata Consultancy Services
  • Naveen KumarSai Mitra Construction
  • VamshiKPMG

The final saw Naveen Kumar, the defending champion from 2021, start shockingly with three negatives. While he did regain some ground, it was Srivastava who got into the lead early on. By the end of the third round, Kapinjal was in the lead and was able to hold out against a fighting Naveen who tried his best to come back but kept gaining and losing points, which did not help his cause. Srivastava also did well to lose ground and finish runner-up behind Kapinjal. One thing was clear, India would have a new Tata Crucible champion this year.

Mr. Ritesh Sharma, General Manager – Taj Santacruz, Mumbai who was the chief guest, spoke of the importance of learning and resilience as he wished for better times ahead.
