Corporate Quiz Results - Chennai Silks wins Coimbatore thriller
The city of Coimbatore was abuzz with action as the corporate edition of Tata Crucible was held here. The quiz which was held here for the first time in 2008 had about 30 odd teams in the fray but this year the quiz drew as many as 54 teams, a very large number for business quiz at this city.
The following teams made it to the final from the prelim.
- SWADHIST FOODS – Vishal & Natarajan
- TIME – Rajeshwari & Real Pad
- KPMG – Ramakrishnan & Ramasubramaniam
- S BHANSALI AND ASSOCIATES – Sheilendra Bhansali & Priya Bhansali
- CHENNAI SILKS – Ashok Arul & Yogesh Pai
- AXIS BANK – Balakrishnan & Ram Shankar
The final was a brisk affair with KPMG getting off to a good start with the Bhansali’s in toe. As the quiz moved into the buzzer rounds it seemed like a battle between these two teams but Chennai Silks did extremely well to regroups themselves and crack a few really tough posers. Swadhist Foods also started to inch closer as the quiz moved into the final rounds.
The teams slowly started taking a few risks and that resulted in a few negatives for both Swadhist Foods and KPMG who decided to give it a go for the top honours. Just as this happened, Chennai Silks scored a crucial five pointer to move just ahead of the Bhansali’s who had done nothing wrong in the quiz as well.
With one question to go, barely five points separated the Bhansali’s and Chennai Silks but neither wanted to take undue risks as Chennai Silks emerged champions and the Bhansali’s finished runner up for the second year in succession.
