Tata Crucible Campus Hackathon 2018 - Mumbai

The Mumbai finals of Tata Crucible Corporate Hackathon concluded successfully on October 13, 2018 at Vivanta President, Cuffe Parade. 17 shortlisted teams presented their solutions for the three challenges. Mr. Hasit Kaji, Vice President and Head - Special Initiatives & Gujarat Branch Head of Tata Consultancy Services, Mr. Santosh Singh, Global Head of Business Excellence and Innovation at Tata Technologies and Mr. Shrinivas Kulkarni, Consultant in Open Innovation from Group Technology and Innovation Office were the Jury for the event.

The winning team presented their prototype on ‘Smart City enabler’ challenge. Their solution was titled - CityX - LoRa enabled smart city lighting solution featuring Noise level (decibel) and illumination level (Lux) measurement in cities with GIS visualization. The team comprised of Stephen Masih and Shakeb Ameen from a start-up named the YUPS Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd. They received a cash prize of Rs. 70000*.

The team from Tata Technologies, bagged the runner up title, who presented their prototype for the ‘Road Safety measures for two-wheeler’ challenge. The team comprised of Aakash Handa, Mangalapalli Seshu Kumar and Gopal Athani. The runner-up team received a cash prize of Rs. 30000*.
