The Chandigarh version of the quiz witnessed participation from a staggering 248 teams. After all the frenzy of the prelim and the two wild card rounds that followed, the stage was set for the final.
The final witnessed team IIT Roorkee taking an early lead but as the quiz moved into the buzzer rounds the teams from PEC and ICFAI National College started catching up and once the quiz entered the final rounds the tension could be felt all over with four teams have a fair chance of making it to the national final.
The first question in the final round resulted in the PEC teams taking negatives while on the second question PEC clawed back with a 10 pointer. IIT left nothing to chance and on the final question took a clean 15 point to make it to the national final.
A tie breaker that followed between ICFAI and PEC saw the latter get the better of the former. The winners got a cash prize of Rs.75,000 and the runner up Rs.35,000. All 16 teams that made it on stage got prizes from the world of Tatas.
