The Mumbai edition of the quiz has always been a top quality quiz given that the city hosts some of the best management institutes. Add to this are the many engineering colleges with a good quizzing culture. The quiz began with a prelim of 20 questions, from which the following finalists emerged.

• FMS Delhi: Jayant Dalmia and Ajay Parasuraman
• TISS: Srivastav and Vaibhav B
• SP JAIN: Siddharth and Ronak
• St.Xavier’s College: Ms. Melissa Rego and Rishwin Jackson
• KJ Somaiya: Vikas Raj and Jithin George
• St.Xavier’s College: Madhav and Adway

The final started with SP Jain and KJ Somaiya getting off to a quick start. While KJ Somaiya played carefully, the duo from SP Jain went all guns blazing akin to a T20 match. They soon crossed the 25 run mark and still kept going.

In the middle overs the FMS Delhi team, which had missed the Delhi event duo to their exams, narrowed the gap with KJ Somaiya but could not get past them. The SP Jain team in the meantime moved on to an unassailable position and registered their place in the west zone final.

The KJ Somaiya duo managed to hold out the FMS challenge to emerge runner up. The guest of honour Mr. Ganesh, CEO and MD, Tata Asset Management appreciated the teams and spoke of how amazed he was to see the talent and knowledge they possess.
