The magnificent Taj Connemara which looks splendid after a makeover played a perfect host to the cerebral minded at Chennai. The impressive TCS teams continued their domination in the city. Over 250 people were witness to a quiz of high calibre. After a snappy prelim, the six teams that made it to the final included:

Tiger Analytics: Ramesh Natarajan and Rahul Jain
Gain Credit: Satish and Leo Thomas
Ford Motor Company: Prashanth and Sridharan
Matrimony.com: Nikhil Jois and Kiran V
Zotto: Aniruddh and Gopal
The final of the quiz was swift and from the word go it was the TCS duo who were at it. They raced off to a quick start and maintained the pressure right through. The other teams did try, Ford Motors would gain and lose points making it difficult for them to progress. The other teams were locked in a tight battle for the second spot as TCS went past the 1000 barrier.
This year has seen three teams from Southern India get past the 1000 barrier from Sai Mitra from Hyderabad, Novartis from Bangalore and now TCS at Chennai. The second-place battle in the meantime became a close one ending in a tie, that Tiger Analytics managed to win
The chief guest Mr. Ravi Vishwanathan, CMO, TCS spoke of how the Tata Group has invested always in knowledge and learning, citing the example of the TCS IT quiz where students from small towns excel and find a platform to grow.
