Close to 4000 teams across India, 34 cities and it was now a battle for India’s biggest honour in the world of campus quizzing as the final eight faced off at the picturesque Taj Lands End. The finale seemed even grander as it was the tenth anniversary of the quiz, started by the Tatas in 2004-2005 as part of their Centenary Celebrations then.

  • BITS Pilani: Sahil Gupta & Tanay Shankar
  • TAPMI Manipal: Rithwik & Krishna
  • KIIT Bhubaneswar: Omkar Amruthanshu & Sagar Saurabh
  • VNIT Nagpur: Pranjal & Pawan
  • IIT Kanpur: Shubham & Arnab Ghosh
  • ICAI Bangalore: Vijay & Mohit Jain
  • IIM Shillong: Debarun Majumdar & Rahul Gupta
  • Symbiosis Pune: Arjun Krishna & Ashish Vasvani

The battle was bound to be tough and quizmaster Pickbrain delivered on the big occasion with some truly crafty posers that tested all the finalists. The audience, in large numbers, on a Saturday evening equally enjoyed the battle and won their share of audience prizes.

As the quiz progressed into the buzzer rounds it seemed a two team battle between KIIT Bhubaneshwar and ICAI Bangalore with the other teams trying hard to catch up on lost ground. As the end of the day it was a cool and composed ICAI that clinched the title ahead of KIIT.

ICAI and KIIT qualified from India into the international finale.
